Everything we asked for was very well organized and fulfilled. Transport, accommodation, and specific tours, of the best quality.
In Marrakesh, we met Hannan, who was our tour guide, in addition to being super well received by her, we were invited to a sensational dinner tour which my children thoroughly enjoyed.
Although all the cities we visited surprised us, it was the period of touring the dessert camp enchanted us the most. It was a very comfortable and relaxing tent stay to end our tour.
Much more than just providing services, and quick in responding to our questions we feel very welcomed and always taken care of by them.
By the end of the trip, we felt more like friends than customers. Highly recommend them.

We did not like our guide Mohammed. He spoke to us as if he had a script and didn't answer any of our questions. He also brought us into a carpet place and was aggressive about trying to sell us carpets when I had told him I wasn't interested.

If you've traveled through other places with Roman Ruins, I would skip this part of the trip. We had wanted to go to Scorpian House for lunch but they need reservations 2-3 days in advance. Make sure you tell your driver and trip rep if you want to do this. Otherwise, lunch is in a tourist spot in the parking lot of Volubilis (which we skipped).

We liked our guide however beware of asking him to take you to any stores not researched beforehand. We asked our guide to take us to a herboristerie for spices and argan oil and it was a complete scam. Our trip rep took care of returning the fake products and made them reimburse us immediately. Not sure whether or not guide knew this place sold fake products.

Amazing experience overall. We had a great trip with lots of good memories and experiences that we will cherish for a long time.

What made our trip really special was our driver Karim. He was very professional, polite and patient. We enjoyed his company and the stories he shared with us. Karim was very knowledgeable about the history of different places and their significance.

I’d wanted to visit the beautiful country of Morocco 🇲🇦 for years, so I decided to work with KimKim to plan and book my trip. I normally plan and book all my trips on my own, but since I wasn’t too familiar with the country (or the languages), and after doing extensive research on tour companies, I chose KimKim to plan my tour.

I was very pleased with how the planning of the tour went, thanks to Said, the booking manager. They made the planning process very easy, and even though it was high-season, still managed to book most of my first-choice hotels and riads. We had ongoing communication regarding places of interest, sites, culture, and activities until Said had designed a perfectly curated tour to my liking.

My driver for the trip, Soufiane, exceeded all expectations. He went above and beyond what I expected, always making sure I was enjoying the trip, and whenever something needed adjusting, he quickly responded. His driving was very good, always a positive attitude and spoke English well…oh, and also has great taste in music! :). During the trip, I decided to skip a city in order to have more time in Marrakech, so Soufiane drove me 10+ hours to make it happen. Moreover, he invited me to his home to have dinner with his amazing family, which was an unforgettable experience. In the beginning he was my driver, but by the end, considered him a dear friend. Did I mention he carried my luggage up 150 steps? When you travel to Morocco, you’ll find the country is quite beautiful, but the genuine hospitality of its people is what I found to be the lasting memory of my journey.

My tour started in Casablanca. The Hassan II mosque is quite impressive and well worth seeing (day and at night), but I wouldn’t recommend staying more than a day or 2. We then essentially made a big clockwise loop which included: Rabat, Chefchaouen (the blue city), Fes, Merzouga, Marrakech, Essaouira and a very fun day trip to Imsouane, then back to Casablanca. I loved it all, but if I had to choose, I’d say Chefchaouen, the camel ride in the Sahara (Merzouga) and Marrakech were my top 3 favorites.

The local guides (for the city tours) were all pretty good. Some spoke English better than others. Notable guides were Latvi (Chefchaouen), Mohammed (Fes), and another Mohammed (food tour in Marrakech).

Hotels / Riads:

Overall, the hotels and riads were nice, but I liked some better than others. The top 3 favorites were Dar Jasmine (Chefchaouen), Riad Nyla Wellness and Spa (Marrakech) and Palais Amani (Fes). Dar Jasmine was special due to it’s location and epic views of Chefchaouen, and the unbelievably clean Nyla with it’s fantastic service, staff and breakfast was definitely a highlight.

Touring Morocco is an amazing experience! Our English speaking guide, Karim, proudly showed us so many aspects of his country. Over 10 days we visited beautiful Chefchaouen, ( the blue city), the wonderful medina of Fez, drove through stunning mountains and gorges, shopped in the markets of Marrakech and highlight of all - rode camels into the sunset in the Sahara. Touring Morocco is an amazing experience! Our English speaking guide, Karim, proudly showed us so many aspects of his country. Faysal is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). We truly enjoyed the driving and the cities/places were we visit. The sceneries were beautiful and it was a relieve to have a designated driver/friend to help us explore some parts of Morocco. Faysal went above and beyond to not only guide us during the day to the planned places but also make sure we were taken care outside of his working hours (at night) to take us to places that we would like to visite such as nice hookah lounges in Fes and restaurant in Marrakesh (a huge thank you for that!).



The trip accommodations were so special that it really felt like home to both of us. All respect for Abdellah who did a great job planning our trip.

We loved our hike with Mohammad in the Atlas Mountains (Monkey Fingers hike) and the lunch afterward with him and his wife and Karim. All of the local guides were knowledgeable and friendly.

Even though we opted for accommodations that were more moderate in cost, the accommodations were comfortable and delightful at every stop. We especially enjoyed the Tiziri Luxury Camp in the desert near Merzouga and our last stop in Essouira at Riad Mimouna, which was just lovely. Our room was right over the ocean, with views and ocean wave sounds from both sides. We wished we had another day there.

Before the trip, Abdellah and Said were great at communicating, answering questions, and responding to requests for changes. I appreciated that Abdel stayed in contact (without being pushy) throughout the period from March 2020 to October 2022, when we had to reschedule and then reschedule again.

I want to emphasize that we really liked our driver (I think his name was Mohammad) and appreciated the information he imparted at every stop and also about himself and his life. He was wonderful. On balance, however, I think we would have skipped this day and spent another day in Essouira. The tea in the Bedouin tent was not really with the Bedouins and just felt kind of sad. Their lives are so hard and this stop felt somewhat voyeuristic. The other stops -- at the mining area and at the dance place -- were not that interesting to us. Again, not the fault of the driver.

The guide was ok and did get a lot of things covered; however his decision to keep us to the back area merchants was not what we expected. We would have preferred less pressure to buy and more opportunity to explore the Medina. The tour of the other sites was well done and enjoyable. Tiziri Camp is one of our favorite experiences/places to stay EVER! We felt at home as soon as we arrived and the staff was so welcoming at every turn. The tents are so comfortable and even luxurious! The staff prepares delicious meals and was so accommodating for our whole family - they helped our kids sandboard, arranged for us to visit a pool during the day and played Berber music in the evenings. We stayed 2 nights and would definitely recommend! 1 night would have been too short to fully enjoy the experience!

We loved this hotel run by two amazing brothers! It was raining when we arrived, and they came to our van to welcome us and help carry our bags in. We felt at home right away! One of the brothers is the chef and prepares truly amazing meals. We had dinner and then breakfast. Our rooms faced the street (back rooms have a nice view) but we arrived after dark so wouldn’t have been able to enjoy the view anyway. We would have loved to stay here longer! The back terrace and pool looked beautiful. The beautifully furnished rooms, top-notch food and warm hospitality are not to be missed!

We loved walking around the gardens! They are incredibly beautiful, and our kids enjoyed the animals as well (koi fish, turtles, frogs). We also really loved the YSL Museum even though we don’t know anything about fashion. The dresses are beautiful, and even our two older kids enjoyed it! This was definitely a highlight and not to be missed. Our driver recommended going early (9am) and we’re thankful for that - the gardens got busier as the morning went on.

We loved walking around Ait Ben Haddou. Our driver Samir arranged a local guide (Aziz). Aziz was awesome! He was very patient with our kids and we learned a lot about the ruins. This was fascinating to see! We didn’t have much time in Ourzazatte so opted to skip the studio tour. I’m sure it would have been fun, but we wanted to get to our hotel in Boulmane Dades before too late in the evening.

Our trip to Morocco was amazing, we had a great experience with the Original Travels team. Our driver Ilias who was with us for the whole trip it's an amazing guy, super friendly and always looking to make the best of our stay, he took us to several different places for lunch which we had not have known if it wasn't for him; I think that brought us nearer to a local experience, which we appreciate. The whole itinerary was exactly as described and the hotels were surprisingly more beautiful than in the pictures we saw at the itinerary, which was a very nice surprise. All staff from the hotels and the local tour guides were very friendly and willing to accommodate to any special needs; most of them are fluid in english, french and spanish. We did the whole trip around the country in nine days touching around seven cities, so one thing that I will say is that you should be expecting long transfers by car with the obvious potential changes of itinerary due to traffic, etc. whenever that happened, Ilias our driver, helped us reschedule and rearrange our activities so we did not miss anything, but I do recommend you have an open mind and try to enjoy the most of your road trip. Overall a great experience and I highly recomend the experience with KimKim and Original Travels.
