Hello my name is Alisha, 31 years old and I am originally from Germany. In 2016 I finished my university and decided to travel afterwards. My first stop was Bali and I fell in love with the island at first sight. I have been living on the island for more than 6 years now and I enjoy every single day. In the last years I saw a lot of nice places, met people and learned about the culture. I am really happy that I could collect so many memories and that I can share these memories with you now.

How did you get involved in travel?
"Actually, I wanted to go to Australia for one year for work and travel but then I liked Bali and Indonesia so much that I didn´t go to Australia. I just stayed in Bali. "

"I don´t have THE unique one. Indonesia is just unique. The locals give you the feeling that you are always welcome. The smell when you are walking down the roads or when you drive with your motorbike are incredible. You will smell the best food with a taste of incense sticks. When you drive through a village, children will smile at you and give you a friendly hello."

Our guide Dennis, and our driver Surya were excellent. Also, at Ecolodge in Bukit Lawang, our guide Zul and the assistant, Jat were a very good team for finding orangutans and birds.

The trip overall was great- Hasan was our driver guide and he was so friendly and gave us a great overview of Malaysia's history and areas we visited.
