When is the best time to visit?
There’s no bad time of year to visit Cambodia, but the main tourist season happens when temperatures are coolest from November through February. To avoid some of the crowds, visit towards the end of the country’s dry season, which extends all the way into May.
Where to go in Cambodia?
For an iconic Cambodian experience, tour the temples of the ancient city of Angkor. Additionally, there are many undiscovered off-the-beaten-path gems, like the untouched island beaches of Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samloem, the up and coming bustling city of Phnom Penh, and the 216 stone faces carved at Angkor Thom.
How many days do I need?
Budget at least 6 days in Cambodia to explore the temples and also get to know the vibrant community.
This 15-day tour of Cambodia brings you to the wonders of Angkor, Phnom Penh, the heritage town of Battambang, the pristine natural beauty of the Cardamom Mountains, and the tropical island paradise of Koh Rong. Get off the tourist trail and experience a different side of the Kingdom of Wonder, with visits to remote temple complexes and villages, and the chance to experience the Phare Circus and take a boat trip through the rainforest with a backdrop of mountains and rivers.
This journey through Indochina will walk you into the ancient Khmer city of Angkor, take you on a trip to the authentic floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake, and let you explore the world-famous Halong Bay. You will start your journey in historical Siem Reap in Cambodia and continue to Vietnam, where you will explore the Imperial City in Hue, the famous 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge, and Ho Chi Minh City—the largest city in Vietnam.
See Cambodia by bike, following a pilgrimage route from Angkor to the Siem Reap Province. By getting off the beaten path, this challenge is a truly unique way to experience the lost temples and unknown sites of Cambodia. Alternatively, the tour can be completed on foot, offering great opportunities for trekking and hiking.

However, it's best not to pack too much into your visit because the infrastructure makes getting around quite slow. Discovering Vietnam and Cambodia wasn’t on the top of my priority list, however when my sister suggested it I went with it. Dat our travel advisor put together a beautiful itinerary for us to discover Vietnam (Saigon, Hoi An) and Cambodia (Siem Reap, Pnom Pen - excuse the spelling) in a way where you get a taste of everything like a tasting menu at a Michelin star restaurant. In the preparation for the trip he was extremely helpful in explaining what each activity brought to the trip and... read more
