Francesca Garofolin

Francesca is passionate about travel and food experiences. Born and raised in Perú, she has spent most of her life enjoying the amazing Peruvian culture. With her you will be able to discover the best Peru has to offer

What places and activities do you specialize in?

"I specialize in all things about Peru. I was born and raised in Lima and I was always passionate about discovering and exploring different parts of my country. Taking weekend getaway trips with friends, road-trips up the coast of Peru, and heading into the jungle. During the past years, I've focused on exploring all the best that Cusco has to offer. I want my travelers to have the true local experience. As a foodie, I have the best recommendations for restaurants in Peru where you will enjoy amazing food and have a great experience. I am more than happy to share with our travelers all the insights and amazing experiences Peru has to offer."

How did you get involved in travel?

"My love for traveling started at a very young age. My parents would take me on road trips ever since I was a baby. As a child, I have some of my very best memories of traveling with my parents and exploring our beautiful country. And now, I love traveling and getting to explore new places on own. I am constantly looking for my next adventure. Any new destination I explore, I love connecting with the locals, trying their local food, and immersing myself with the culture."

Please share a unique travel experience you will never forget.

"My first trip to Cusco as an adult was one of the best trips I have ever experienced. During my first year of college, my friends and I decided to have a small getaway to Cusco for 3 days that ended up lasting 10 days. After re-scheduling all our flights, we headed to the Sacred Valley where we had the most amazing time. We made such a special connection with the valley around us, and felt the most amazing energy. Since that trip, Cusco has become my favorite destination where I go to disconnect from the busy world around me and reconnect with myself."

Francesca was fantastic!

She was exceptionally quick, responsive and accommodative during the planning stages of our trip to Peru. We've worked with various travel planners at other companies and working with Francesca was definitely the smoothest experience we've had.

Francesca and her team really shined when our Peru trip had to abruptly be changed. Due to a presidential coup and a state of emergency, we had to cancel our Machu Picchu plans and quickly figure out a new itinerary. Francesca jumped in and did her best to secure refunds for the Peru services that were cancelled and then was very helpful in securing new logistics and plans for a trip to Mexico instead...all on very short notice and during peak Xmas season.

Many thanks to Francesca, her local agency team and Kimkim!
