Kristy is a Peruvian-American who is originally from Los Angeles but now calls Lima, Peru her home. Growing up as a Peruvian-American, she was able to experience the best of both worlds. Her passion for travel and for Peru, led her to launch Miski Travels. Where she plans customized trips for travelers looking to explore Peru the local way.

"I specialize in all things Peru! From the city of Lima, where I currently live, to Cusco where you can visit the ruins of Machu Picchu, to the Amazons where you can explore the jungle. I am also your go-to-girl on restaurant recommendations. After all, Lima is the gastronomical capital of Latin America. "
How did you get involved in travel?
"I grew up visiting Peru and would fall more in love with the country with every visit. In March 2016, I wanted a change and decided to make the big move to Lima, Peru. I thought, what better way than to work as a Travel Coordinator and help people plan their trips to a country so close to my heart. I would consider myself a local now and will only recommend the very best in Peru! "

"I've been to Cusco 4 times now and in 4 different travel styles, from staying at hostels to staying at the JW Marriott. The one Cusco experience I will never forget is spending New Years Eve in this magical city. It was filled with people ready to bring in the New Year. Fireworks illuminated the sky in the Plaza de Armas, a sea of people walking around the plaza wearing yellow to bring in luck for the New Year. We spent the weekend hiking Rainbow Mountain, ATVing through the Sacred Valley and then hiking to the top of Machu Picchu Mountain mountain. It is a trip I will never forget. Cusco is a magical place filled with great energy and it's one of my favorite places in the world. "

We had a fabulous trip! It was so nice to have everything planned and run so smoothly. Having all the ground transportation planned in advance was really nice. The vans were so comfortable and the drivers were great! We loved all of our tour guides.

Incredible trip, amazing country. Kristy was great with helping promptly for various hiccups etc on the way. José was an absolutely phenomenal guide in the Cusco area, teaching us so much about the Incas and the local culture and customs. His English was fluent so conversations were had easily. The ecolodge in the rainforest was all-inclusive and pampered us, as well as took us on many tours and etc that were great, although our particular guide (Hugo) didn't speak English super well and was also kind of uh... boring, so I felt there could have been some improvement there.

Trying to plan our trip to Machu Picchu and the sacred valley online was confusing and stressful but Kristy smoothed out everything for us. She arranged transportation and provided us with an extremely knowledgeable guide, David. He was widely read and taught us about so much of the history of the Inca and pre-Incan peoples of the area. Our visit to Peru was much richer than we would have had on our own. We will use the KimKim team again.

Edy was the best!! Local tour guide made the trip an awesome experience.
Kimkim company meet our needs but there would have been less travel stress with increased communication form the company. More emails, quick call or check in would have been easy to do and made our travels much better.
