Hola! My name is Wendy Romero. I was born on a beautiful island called San Andrés. The island is in the shape of a seahorse (Go see for yourself!) I am passionate about travel, and I have been fortunate to visit most places in Colombia.
In Colombia, you have the Amazon rainforest, Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, deserts in the North, and the Plains in the East. So many environments, all in one place!

How did you get involved in travel?
"I have been involved in travel and tourism my whole life. My parents studied and worked in this field. I grew up traveling, meeting new people, seeing new places, and tasting new foods. Because of these experiences, I chose this career and am so happy that I did. My Bachelor’s Degree is in Tourism as well!!!"

"There is a small town close to Santa Marta called Minca. It is well known as the ecological capital due to its biodiversity, weather, and altitude.
This place has been a unique experience because you can find peace and enjoy nature. For coffee lovers, you will find a farm where coffee is processed and exported to other countries because of its high quality.
Minca is only 45 minutes from the city and has a spectacular view of Santa Marta with breathtaking sunsets. Also, you will find endemic species for bird-watching lovers up in the mountains. "

As a woman traveling alone to a remote part of Colombia I decided to use an agency. I have to tell you KimKim was excellent! Our Colombia trip was amazing! Wendy and her team went above and beyond to provide unique experiences for us from mountain biking to a natural mud volcano in Cartagena to running with locals in Bogota on Sundays when they close major streets. A quick review for your quick reminder. Despite our COVID set-back, we have positive feelings about our trip. In fact, it was having KimKim’s arranging of our need for an altered itinerary that was especially helpful. Both of our guides, Yube and Roberto, were good, but Yube was especially good. We liked the way she talked about a wide range of subjects, something that gave us a sense of Colombia today. And our best day was the one where we went up to the mountains with her (although we never understood why we used a boat instead of tubes).
