Welcome to Mongolia! Get ready for an adventure. On the first day of your trip, you'll board a domestic flight from Ulaanbaatar to Bayan Ulgii. After arrival, you will spend most of the rest of the day traveling by 4-wheeler to your camp in the heart of Altai Tavan Bogd National Park. Your guide and driver will set up camp as you settle down for the night under the immense starry night sky.

Day 2: Hike to Tavan Bogd Base

Rise bright and early for a full day of hiking. You'll approach the magnificent Tavan Bogd Mountains on foot. Set on the border of China and Russia, these mountains are considered one of Mongolia's natural treasures. Rising to 14,350 feet (4,374 meters), Khuiten Peak is the country's highest point. Once you have reached the base, you will set up camp and enjoy another night at the natural park.

Day 3: Climb to Malchin Peak

Malchin Peak is the only peak of the Tavan Bogd Mountains that's accessible without technical equipment, so even hikers with little experience can enjoy it in all its wonder. Weather permitting, you will hike to the peak for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Mongolian landscape. Once you've taken in the scenery, you can walk back down with your guide, arriving back to camp in the evening for a hearty supper.

Day 4: Hike to the White River

Spend your final day in the beautiful national park on a short but sweet hike to Tsagaan Gol (White River). Take in the gorgeous views as much as you can before beginning the journey to Ulgii. On the way, you'll stop in an eagle hunters’ village to learn about this nomadic group's unique way of life. You'll spend the night in a local ger camp, sleeping in a traditional tent as Mongolian nomads have done for centuries.

Day 5: Depart Ulaanbaatar
